REGIONAL RESULTS

Mark’s 16s started by BEATING the 4th ranked team (T-Street) in Southern California in the Regional Tournament. The girls went 2-1 on Saturday. On Sunday, the girls beat both SMBC teams and SVVC going 3-0 in pool play. They then proceeded to beat SC Elite in 3. It was a barn burner. The final score was 22-20 in the third. The girls never flinched.. The girls earned 18th place overall in the Regional and ended up with a final ranking of 20th.

Jenn’s 16s played well on Saturday but ended up a little off the mark getting 4th. On Sunday, they played well but could not quite get over the edge. In the crossover, however, the girls caught fire. They blasted their way to the final match and came up just short. They battled all year and ended up in the top 60 out of 258 teams. Nice work girls.

TVC Garry 14s had a stellar day on Saturday battling to a second place finish in the Gold, top bracket. On Sunday they were playing against the top 16 teams in all of Southern California. They had a great day getting third in their pool and then ending up 13th overall in all of Southern California. They will end up in the top 20 out of 350 teams.

TVC Alice 13s won their pool on Saturday playing great volleyball. On Sunday played well to a 2-1 finish. They battled in the crossover and came up a bit short. They ended up in the top 40 out of 350 teams. They are a top ten 13s team and will be in Division I next year in the 14s

TVC Blue team played in the Regional on Saturday and Sunday. They played well on Saturday earning 4th place in pool play. On Sunday they got third in pool play and then caught FIRE in the crossover. The girls beat every team to win the Consolation bracket. It was a great way to end the season.

TVC Alana 13s came in as a first seed on Saturday. They crushed all comers. They played hard on Sunday losing twice in the third game but getting a big win in their third match. They are in the top 35 for 13s teams and will start off next year in Gold, Division 2 or 3.

15s Felicia had a tough day on Saturday against some of the top teams in Southern California. They came into Sunday as the 4th seed on Sunday. The girls battled to a first place finish in pool play going 2-1. They played 951 in the the crossover and beat them in three. They ended up 19th (out of 215 teams) in the SCVA Regional Tournament. We are so pleased and proud of Felicia and the girls. Great job this year staying in Gold, Division 2 and then going at it in Regionals. They will end up in the top 25 for all of Southern California’s 15s teams.

12s Kat had a tough day on Saturday against some very good competition in the Regional Tournament. They brought it back on Sunday earning a respectable 3rd place in pool play. They are a very young team with massive potential. Only two of the girls will be moving up to the 13s. For all of them it was their first year of volleyball and they got so good. We are proud and please with Kat and Alice for all their hard work with the girls. We will get them next year, girls.
